The Strength of Stillness

Psalm 46:10 “Be still, and know that I am God; I will be exalted among the nations, I will be exalted in the earth.”
In a world that celebrates busyness, God calls us to be still. It’s in the quiet moments of surrender that we hear His voice most clearly and find the strength we desperately need.
We often mistake activity for productivity and noise for progress. But God operates differently. He speaks in the still small voice. He works in the waiting. He strengthens in the silence.
Being still doesn’t mean being passive—it means positioning ourselves to receive. When we quiet our hearts and minds before God, we create space for Him to speak, to heal, to direct, and to empower us for what lies ahead.
Reflection Questions: – When was the last time you were truly still before God? – What distractions keep you from quieting your heart? – How might your life change if you incorporated daily stillness into your routine?
